William LeRoy O'Brien was born to John O'Brien and Rebecca Angelina King on April 18, 1882, in Layton, Utah. He went by "Roy." The first record I have for Roy is in the 1900 census under the name "LeRoy." (James A. on that record is not actually Roy's brother, but his uncle.) Roy moved to Alberta, Canada with some of his brothers around 1902-1903. He worked for the Knight Sugar Company from 1903-1916.
Chloe Elizabeth McMullin (or Elizabeth Chloe McMullin--you'll see it both ways) was born to Alphonzo Pierce McMullin and Lucy Lovina Witt on September 15, 1884, in Heber, Utah. She appears as "E. Chloe" on this 1900 census. According to this 1906 Canadian census, Elizabeth Chloe moved to Alberta, Canada in 1903; her father, Alphonzo, is listed on another page of the census as having immigrated to Canada in 1902. So let's just say that they moved to Canada sometime during 1902-1903.

Roy and Chloe met when Chloe was shopping at the O'Brien-Nalder mercantile store, which was partly owned by Roy's brother, Thomas. (See here for a little bit about the store--it even mentions Roy's mother, Mrs. Rebecca O'Brien. She moved up to Canada to be with her kids after her husband, John, died. You can also see here that Roy was employed as a sugar boiler at the sugar factory.) They married on June 2, 1904, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. I haven't been able to find a marriage record for them yet.
You can see Chloe, Roy, and little Afton in the 1906 census that I mentioned above. They also appear in the 1911 census (see here for the Ancestry version, if that free version goes down). If you look further down the page, you can see that they lived not too far away from Chloe's brother, Alphonzo L. McMullin.
Roy and Chloe moved their family back to the U.S. in 1916, settling in Lewiston, Utah. Roy also registered for the draft in 1918. (I had to search by hand to find that one on FamilySearch--for some reason, it wouldn't come up in a records search.)
You can see the family in Lewiston, Utah in the 1920 census--they're at the bottom of the page, and the family continues onto the next page--and in the 1930 census. They appear in Ogden, Utah in the 1940 census. Roy and Chloe had a total of ten children.
Here's a little tidbit that I thought was interesting--as an adult, Chloe would sometimes have asthma attacks that put her in a coma-like state. She was declared dead three times while raising her children, only to be revived later.
Chloe was also said to be a meticulous housekeeper. Roy loved baseball. The whole family liked to fish together.
William LeRoy O'Brien died September 24, 1948 in Ogden, Utah. Sometime after Roy's death, Chloe moved to Logan, Utah, to be able to do temple work more easily. She also visited her daughters for two weeks at a time in California. Chloe Elizabeth McMullin O'Brien died July 3, 1971 in San Diego, California.
